Allergen Policy
Mompops manufacturing facility is Certified Free From the Top 9 Food Allergies (1 sku contains coconut). We follow strict food manufacturing guidelines set forth by the FDA/FSMA (food safety modernization act)
Mompops manufacturing facility goes beyond FDA/FSMA guidelines as we are also a Certified SQF (Safe Quality Foods) facility. The facility receives annual audits that are performed by a 3rd party. The allergy component of our food safety plan includes documentation and monitoring requirements in place to qualify an ingredient supplier, proper allergen handling (receiving, storage, cleaning, packing, & employee training.
Coconut is the only allergen brought into the facility. We manufacture 1 SKU per day. If we ever would have to manufacture more than 1 SKU per day we do the allergen containing SKU last and do a deep clean upon completion which includes swabbing performed upon cleanup
Employees are not permitted to bring tree nuts or peanuts into the facility for their personal consumption.
Our products and facility are free of the below:
Gluten, Peanuts, Tree Nuts (except coconut), Diary, Soy, Egg, Fish, Shellfish, Sesame, Corn/Corn Oil,
Mustard, & Celery.
All common nuts: Almond, Beech Nut, Brazil Nut, Butternut, Cashew, Chestnut (Chinese, American,
European, Sequin), Chinquapin, Filbert/Hazelnut, Ginkgo nut, Hickory nut, Lichee nut, Macadamia,
Pecan, Pine nut/Pinon nut, Pili nut, Pistachio, Walnut (English, Persian, Black, Japanese, California),
Heartnut,
Chemicals, such as sulfites, sulfur dioxide, nitrites, caffeine, MSG, aspartame (Nutrasweet®), artificial
colors, artificial flavors, preservatives, etc.
Facility Testing/Monitoring
Allergy swabbing occurs after an allergen is used in the production facility and is specific to the allergen
used (coconut only allergen in facility
Top 9 allergen testing occurs monthly and submitted to 3rd party auditor for review
Quarterly reports submitted to 3rd party auditor to include any new employees that received trainings,
new ingredients, product recalls related to food allergies, ingredients no longer used.
Label verification is a CCP (critical control point) in packaging verification. It is performed and
documented when an allergen is introduced at the packaging stage
Employee allergen training occurs with any changes/updates
